‘October Road’ Returns to ABC

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Renewals,

October Road, the show that made a brief appearance last March, will be returning to next month.  The show stars as Nick Garrett, a famous author who returns to his home town after 10 years away. (I tell you this because chances are you didn’t watch it either.)  (That 70’s Show) plays Nick’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his possible child.

October will make a one-stint appearance Thursday, Nov. 22nd @ 10pm.  It will then slide into its regular time slot starting Monday, Nov. 26th @ 10pm (presumably after is wrapped up).

I hate to say the series won’t last more than another six episodes—but I’ll go and ahead and do just that.  The last time a show made a one-time Thursday appearance, it quickly disappeared days later.  (If you haven’t guessed, I was referring to Viva Laughlin.)  And has anyone else noticed that October is premiering on Thanksgiving??  My bet’s on four new episodes…tops.

Monday Ratings:  ABC Dances Away With Another Win

It’s unclear how some of these programs would have fared without stiff competition from Monday Night Football and the Yankees/Indians game.  Regardless, it’s not surprising that to report that ABC easily danced away with another ratings victory (followed by CBS, NBC, FOX and CW).

He learned bartending and started to save money, with his brothers, to open his own bar at the age of twenty-eight. Today, Womack owns four bars in the Texas area. Consuelos Gets His Own Piece of the Spotlight

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, NBC, Rumors,

NBC LogoThough he’s probably more famously known as Mr. Ripa, plenty of fans will still recognize Mark Consuelos from ABC’s All My Children. The former daytime star will be in the spotlight as the host NBC’s new reality dating drama, Age of Love. Though the concept sounds frighteningly similar to the bevy of other love-related shows out there, Age of Love puts at least one twist on an age-old reality setup. Imagine one 30-year-old hunk (Australian tennis star Mark Philippoussis) and a group of women all vying for his affection. Now imagine that the women are separated into two distinct categories: 20-somethings and 40-somethings. Now, that might be something.

The Bachelor May Return for 10th Season

Posted by Wendy Michaels Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Internet, Renewals,

The Bachelor: RomeWell, although it’s not yet an official announcement, there is buzz on the Internet that another season of The Bachelor is in the works. It’s 10th season. And no, that’s not a typo. I can’t even believe that some dude has been handing out roses for 10 seasons. Daily Variety is reporting that the 10th installment of the show may air in late spring. The current Bachelor, which takes place in Rome, has not been as big of a draw for viewers as The Bachelor: Paris (which aired in the spring). The drop in ratings is likely a result of scheduling—The Bachelor airs opposite Heroes on NBC. The Rome edition ranks second for its time, and averages 8.06 million viewers each week. The two-hour season finale of The Bachelor: Rome will air on November 27th at 9:00 p.m.

ABC is expected to make an announcement about the renewal next week.
